Sunnydale is witness to a new side of Willow Rosenberg in the episode "Dopplegangland." Willow and Anya, newly human and hating it, accidentally summon Vamp Willow from Cordelia's wish dimension, who promptly assembles her own vampire gang to take advantage of the plentiful feeding opportunities at The Bronze. After Willow stuns her vampire counterpart with a tranquilizer gun, usually reserved for her boyfriend Oz, Willow trades her pink fuzzy sweater ensemble for the fetish vampire gear, in a valiant attempt to impersonate her vampire alter-ego and save the hapless residents of Sunnydale!
Willow Rosenberg may have started out as the mousy nerd, hiding in the shadows of Sunnydale High School, but all that changed when Auffy Anne Summers moved to town. The "Chosen One" immediately connected with the shy, helpful Willow and together with Willow's longtime crush, Xander Harris, they becam inseparable friends and the silent protectors of Buffy's vampire slaying mission on the Hellmouth. Over their three years in high school, Willow came out of her shell blossoming into one of the key researchers helping Buffy thwart the variety of demon activity plaguing the town. As Willow's skills grew, she began to show an affinity for magics that she practiced with mixed results. As they reached their college years, Willow's increasing confidence helped her evolve into a powerful Wiccan force and Buffy's right hand woman in time of Apocalypse. Of course, like Buffy, Willow also collected her share of personal heartbreaks over the years from her unrequited crush on Xander to her sweet, storybook romance with quirky, guitarist Oz that painfully ended in betrayal. Yet, Willow found love again in the surprising arms of Tara Maclay, another shy Wiccan that opened Willow's heart once more. When their relationship came to an abrupt end with Tara's tragic murder, Willow descended into a terrifying despair that twister her powers to evil, summoning some seriously dark mojo, which almost brought about the end of the world. With the help of Xander's love, Willow was brought back from the brink of ultimate evil and she was able to control her powers again for good. In the end, it was Willow's power that allowed Buffy to defeat The First Evil in their final battle and in doing so, changed the course of Slayer destiny forever.
