MERCEDES NGOH - Rystall
Jabba's Palace Dancer, Return of the Jedi Special Edition
Mercedes Ngoh was born in Ottawa, Canada to a Spanish mother and an African father, and is the second oldest of four girls. A natural dancer and gifted athlete, Mercedes studied classical ballet and gymnastics concurrently for over 12 years. She also earned many track and field awards for high and long jump events throughout high school.
Mercedes moved to San Francisco at age 18, and immediately landed a role in "Backstage on Broadway" at the College of Marin. She also studied acting and singing at the prestigious American Conservatory Theatre and Blue Bear School of Music. On her way to acting class, her 5'9" frame, exotic looks and slender dancer's physique attracted the attention of a local modeling agency scout, and she was soon became a popular runway model.
It was a call from her agency that led her to the audition for the role of "Rystall, Jabba's Palace Dancer" in the Special Edition re-release of Return of the Jedi.
After filming Return of the Jedi, Mercedes moved to Los Angeles to further pursue her career. She continues acting and modeling, and is currently concentrating on her singing and songwriting career. Mercedes hopes to complete her first album within the coming year.
