In a Time of War, a Superhero Emerges
Created by Jack Kirby and Joe Simon, Cap was introduced during World War II in 1941's Captain America Comics #1 published by Marvel Comics' predecessor, Timely Comics. With the 1944 release of Captain America, a movie serial (series of consecutive short films), he became the first Marvel character to appear in media outside comics. Since then, this alter ego of super-soldier Steve Rogers has become a household name, easily recognized by his red, white, and blue American flag-themed costume and nearly indestructible shield that acts both as a defensive tool and a weapon he throws as a projectile.
A Hero with the Power to Endure
Not every superhero character has held the favor and long-lasting admiration of the public like Captain America has. His high ideals, personal integrity, and insistence on fighting for what's right and just are some of the attributes that have kept Cap top of mind and in high esteem with his legion of fans. As a result, he's appeared on television from the 1960s through the 2010s and beyond, as well as in video games, novels, and other media. But his appearances in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) are arguably what he's best known for today.
Captain America in the Movies
Actor Chris Evens has done an admirable job of portraying Steve Rogers / Captain America in the films that make up the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Beginning with Captain America: The First Avenger in 2011, Cap's many fans have been treated to an impressive array of feature films showcasing the popular character. 2012 brought us The Avengers. Captain America: The Winter Soldier hit theaters in 2014, followed by Avengers: Age of Ultron in 2015 and 2016's Captain America: Civil War. Then came blockbusters Avengers: Infinity War (2018) and Avengers: Endgame (2019). In addition, he also had cameo roles in 2013's Thor: The Dark World, Ant-Man in 2015, Spider-Man: Homecoming in 2017, and 2019's Captain Marvel.
It sure looks like Cap is here to stay, and with him the fabulous Captain America toys and collectibles will keep on comin'. We couldn't be happier! How about you?

"I am a mint in box collector for most things. I pre-order things from time to time when I don't mind waiting.
I have recently received packages from the actual companies that make them, and they are packed so terribly, and I end up with damaged boxes. My recent order from Entertainment Earth was so very well packaged, and the box was minty and fresh. The lengths they go through to make sure the package gets to you, mint is super nice.
This will definitely be my 1st stop because of the detail they put into every order. In fact, just ordered a wave of MOTU that will get her hopefully in October. I definitely won't have to worry about a damaged box."
