Bring the Wonder of E.T. into Your Home

In 1982, just about everybody, young and old, was rushing to theaters to see E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial. It was a force not to be ignored. And even today, one would be hard-pressed to find anyone who didn't recognize the expression "E.T. phone home" and probably smile. The lovable little alien captured hearts around the world and still does. E.T. was produced by Stephen Spielberg and written by Melissa Mathison. It tells the story of Elliott, a boy who befriends an extraterrestrial he names E.T., who is stranded on Earth. With his friends and family, Elliott must find a way to help E.T. return to his home. It's interesting that in spite of the immense and everlasting popularity of E.T., there has to date been no sequel film. But there have been a video game, a Universal Studios theme park ride, books, and a "short film sequel" commercial in November 2019 that ran four minutes and focused on the importance of bringing family together.
