12 in. Luftwaffe Fighter Pilot Description:
The 12 inch Luftwaffe Fighter Pilot, "Major Ernst Wagner" action figure. This action figure features a uniform and accessories.
In the early years of World War II, German Luftwaffe pilots enjoyed total air superiority in the skies over Europe flying their Me-109s and later the FW-190 types. Flying these technically advanced machines, the un-escorted daytime bombers of the allied forces were easy prey for the well trained pilots of the Luftwaffe. It was only later in the war, when the allies developed true long range, high altitude fighters that these pilots were challenged in air to air combat.
