The men and women who serve in the United States Army are dedicated to the cause of peace. One of the weapons used by Army soldiers is the Advanced Medium Anti-tank Weapon System that can defeat any known enemy armor. Lightweight and portable, it can be used by one person to destroy armored vehicles, bunkers and large enemy weapons. The gunner selects the target and the system locks onto it. This fire-and-forget capability allows the gunner to seek a safe location after firing the launcher. It has a maximum effective range of approximately 2,000 meters and has IR technology that allows accurate targeting even when visibility is low.

In addition to battling blazes, firefighters perform other life-saving work including rescue and paramedic operations. Their job is to save lives – and they do so in many different ways, every day, with selfless heroism. When people are trapped in an automobile as a result of an accident, or in buildings that have collapsed, firefighters may use special tools to extricate the victims. One such tool is a power saw, which uses steel and carbide tipped blades that can cut through metal, brick, concrete and other hard material. Firefighters need to be able to reach the victims quickly to provide medical aid and rescue them from a dangerous situation. With the power saw, they can cut an opening through twisted metal and building materials that block their way. The power saw is just one of the tools firefighters use to help them perform their life-saving rescue work.
