Each shadow resembles a mythical creature with its own unique characteristics. The characters include a blue dragon, a Minotaur, killer bat, gargoyle, phoenix, and saber tiger. The 4-inch tall figures can be positioned in different action poses which also portrays the central characteristics of each soldier. Each projection light will display different colors and images that are associated with each separate character. The projection light can be used on a flat surface that can be seen from across the room.
The central characters of the story must find their "inner shadow" to help fight the evil Nene as he attempts to take over the netherworld. After discovering their "inner shadows" and teaming with them, they are given super powers that strengthen them to bring peace to the land again.
