So, hide your livestock and lock your doors! Or maybe just give him a hug. The mystery of the Chupacabra (translated as "goat-sucker") began in 1947 on the lovely isle of Puerto Rico. Beginning with the vicious deaths and draining of blood of various animals (including goats), the infamous Chupacabra mythos spread quickly throughout Latin America. Sightings stretch as far south as Chile and as far north as Maine. While scientists often have alternate theories regarding the killings, no solid facts disproving the Chupacabra's existence have been found.
