The "Mr. Playboy" Edition One, Limited Edition Collectible Series cold cast porcelain statue stands 8 1/2 inches tall.. Introduced on Playboy magazine's second cover in January 1954, Mr Playboy was conceived by Hugh Hefner, founder and editor-in-chief of Playboy, as a symbol of the good life. Mr. Playboy, rarely seen without a beautiful woman at his side, represents an era when people lived life to the fullest. He appeared on Playboy covers throughout the 50s, 60s and 70s, seen cruising in his convertible, raising the international symbol of the martini glass over his yacht, and introducing the world to each year's Playmate of the Year contestants. After popular demand, Mr. Playboy returned to grace the cover of Playboy magazine in September of 1996, catching some rays and admiring beach beauties. This Mr Playboy Edition #1 collectible figurine immortalizes Mr Playboy in his classic red smoking jacket from the January 1963 cover of Playboy magazine.
