You don't get a nickname like "Mr. Hockey" by accident. It's said that a "Gordie Howe Hat Trick" consisted of a goal, an assist, and a fight in the same game. Howe played in Hartford, Houston and Omaha, but his legacy was built in the Motor City, during 25 brilliant seasons with the Red Wings (and one game with the Vipers). Howe ranks second all-time on the NHL goals-scored list, and is one of only two players to eclipse the 800-goal plateau. Howe was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1972.
