A long time war veteran, Roy Fokker leads Earth's Veritech fighters against the invading Zentraedi armada. As Commander of the elite Skull Squadron, Roy is responsible for defending the SDF-1 against pursuing enemies during its long journey back to Earth. As Rick Hunter's close friend and mentor, he is both cocky and caring, helping to counsel Rick through the turmoil of growing up in an intergalactic war. The guidance he shows Rick is well given; Rick is prepared to take the mantle of Skull Leader after Roy Fokker is mortally wounded in battle.
