With the destruction of Krypton imminent, scientist Jor-El and his wife, Lara, placed their infant son Kal-El in an experimental rocket to send him to Earth and safety. Jor-El and Lara would die with their homeworld, but their infant son Kal-El would survive, rocketed to Earth. As Krypton shudders in its death throes, Jor-El and Lara placed their beloved son in the rocket that will carry him to survival and to his ultimate destiny as the world's geatest super hero. The Superman Departure from Krytpon Mini Statue recreates this departure of the future Superman from his homeworld and comes hand painted in an attractive box.
