The original sound effects from the movie were digitally translated to a sound chip inside the replica and the random flashing light patterns that emanated from the device were also duplicated. Pull the trigger switch back, and the light and sounds go off! Comes with numbered plaque, Certificate of Authenticity, and custom-crafted display case.

It is a compact yet unimaginably powerful explosive device contained in a tiny sphere. Once activated, an internal fusion reaction begins within the sphere which soon develops into a deadly explosion. If you recall, Princess Leia Organa (Carrie Fisher) disguises herself as the bounty hunter Boushh and uses this device while negotiating the capture of everyone's favorite Wookie, Chewbacca.

Master Replicas started with a detailed examination of the original thermal detonator prop. Their designers sketched a detailed map of the complex patterns created by the layers of plating and paint in order to create an absolutely authentic replica. In order to give the replica the appropriate heft and durability one would expect of such a device, they decided to make the outer shells of it from die-cast metal rather than plastic like the original prop. They also digitally transferred the original sound effects obtained from Skywalker Sound to a sound chip used inside the replica and duplicated the random flashing light patterns as seen on-screen.
