Young Sasaki Kojiro is taken in and raised by a famed swords master Kanemaki Jisai. Although Kojiro is deaf, he focuses on his training without distractions and learns to communicate with others in the only way he knows how - by crossing blades.The story of Vagabond includes Kojiro's encounters with legendary swordsman Miyamoto Musashi.During the Battle of Seikigahara, young Kojiro fatefully encounters the then unknown Miyamoto Musashi. Many years pass and both Musashi and Kojiro develop to become master swordsmen. However, destiny seems to bring their paths together once again, for the duel of their lifetime.
