Transport a bit of the Time Lord's technology into your own home with the Doctor Who Sonic Screwdriver Universal Remote Control! A high-quality replica of the Mark VII Sonic Screwdriver used by the Eleventh Doctor (Matt Smith), the Sonic Screwdriver Remote Control is a gesture-based universal remote control that utilizes infrared technology to manipulate almost all Earth-based entertainment systems, from TVs and iPod docks to DVD/Blu-ray players and beyond. Fans of the BBC TV series Doctor Who will recognize a range of authentic vintage sound effects while in FX mode, too! Made of die-cast metal, polymers, and synthetic rubber, the Doctor Who Sonic Screwdriver Universal Remote Control measures about 8 3/4-inches long x 1 1/4-inches in diameter. It comes with a display stand, a clear display cover, and an illustrated instruction manual, as well as a one-year warranty provided by the manufacturer from date of purchase. Requires 2x "AAA" batteries, not included.
With 4 operational modes (including practice mode) and 3 memory banks, a total of 39 commands can be stored in the Doctor Who Sonic Screwdriver Universal Remote Control, giving the option of operating multiple home entertainment devices with a flick of the wrist. It has a green flashing tip and works through a series of 13 short gestures like rotating, flicking, or tapping. A guided set-up procedure uses spoken prompts to match gestures to commands learned from existing remote controls. If you're worried about others in your home using the remote, you can even set a 3-digit PIN so all your settings will remain intact!
