London After Midnight 1:4 Scale Figure:Standing roughly 18-inches tall, this 1:4 Scale action figure is based on Lon Chaney Sr.'s portrayal of the Vampire in the lost film London After Midnight. This semi-articulated figure includes authentic Chaney likeness, polystone head and hands, film accurate costume, lamp, flocked top hat, and stone base!
Lon Chaney, Sr. gave true meaning to the moniker "The Man of A Thousand Faces" when he accepted the role of Edward C. Burke in Tod Browning's 1927 detective thriller, "London After Midnight". Chaney had previously headlined in dozens of prestigious major-studio productions, starring in memorable roles as Quasimodo in "The Hunchback of Nortre Dame" (1923) and as "The Phantom of the Opera" (1925), where he innovated his own fiendishly creative masks and make-up effects, a feat that showed Chaney's ultimate dedication to his craft.
Sideshow Collectibles has created this limited edition 1/4 scale collectible rendition of "The Man in the Beaver Hat" based on Tod Browning's original black and white masterpiece, "London After Midnight". The Inspector comes completely posed with highly detailed, theatrically accurate clothing, and a hand painted likeness that is eerily reminescent of the fanged villain Chany so faithfully portrayed.
The 1/4 scale mannequin figure has a sturdy polystone body armature that has flexible poseability in the arms. The figure comes with a stone floor display base featuring a finished base bottom printed with the figure's title and edition size. This limited edition offering proudly represents the truly definitive rendition of a celluloid genius, Lon Chaney, Sr.
