Introducing Nintendo Amiibo Interactive Wii U Figures

group

Nintendo recently announced a new line of amiibo figures, compatible with the Wii U.

Hold the amiibo over your Wii U GamePad to connect the figure with the game and open up new experiences. The amiibo figures store data as you play, becoming a one of a kind amiibo that reflects your personal playing experience.

The first wave of Nintendo amiibo figures are compatible with Super Smash Bros. for Wii U. You’ll be able to scan your amiibo into the game to fight against it, team up with it, or watch it battle in-game characters. Because the amiibo can store data, your figure will be capable of increasing its stats and learning new tactics.

Over time, Nintendo will offer a range of Wii U games that are compatible with the amiibo figures. Nintendo plans for Mario Kart 8, Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker, Mario Party 10, Yoshi’s Wally World, and more to have amiibo functionality. Each game’s compatibility will vary. They also plan to release a peripheral device for amiibo compatibility with the Nintendo 3DS in 2015.

These awesome amiibo figures are being released during the holiday season and are currently available for pre-order. Subject to change.
