My, How Baby Groot Has Grown

Groot

Okay, who didn’t love the ending scene from Guardians of the Galaxy. You know the one I’m talking about, with the baby dancing Groot in a pot?

Some fans really loved it and have taken to recreating Groot’s groovy dance moves with whatever materials they can get their hands on.

We’re impressed by Darcy Reaver’s absolutely amazing inexpensive, all paper dancing Groot in a pot. Made entirely from paper, duct tape, and glue, this adorable ensemble can certainly get funky.

The head, body, and pot are all cylindrical pieces with decoration to resemble the Flora Colossus. Reaver wrinkled paper to give it the appearance of bark. A styrofoam ball cut in half and painted black make the perfect, bulbous Groot eyes. The mouth slit is large enough to see out of and the head piece is stabilized with a ring on the inside. Twist some paper to add arms and voila, Groot is formed!

Step into Groot and get ready to dance your way through life!
