Is a Super Presence Coming to Starling and Central City?

When The CW decided not to pick up the forthcoming Supergirl TV series, fans’ excitement for an epic tri-crossover event with The Flash and Arrow seemed to dwindle. However, in the latest issue of Entertainment Weekly, Greg Berlanti, creator of the upcoming Supergirl TV series and producer on both The Flash and Arrow, gave us all hope again:

Later in the afternoon at his other office on the Warner Bros. lot, Berlanti meets with fellow producer Ali Adler and Oscar-winning costume designer Colleen Atwood to go over looks for their upcoming revamp of Supergirl. The show will follow 24-year-old Kara Zor-El, Superman’s cousin, and with a twist that that could melt fanboy brains, Berlanti says it’s possible this Supergirl could enter the worlds of Arrow and The Flash.

That sounds promising! CBS, the network Supergirl will air on, co-owns The CW with Warner Bros., so this potential crossover definitely isn’t a far-fetched plan. Fans would go crazy to see Kara Zor-El (Supergirl) interacting with Oliver Queen (The Arrow) and Barry Allen (The Flash), and those interactions would continue to solidify DC’s dominating comic presence on TV. Not only will DC have these 3 television series with potential crossovers, but they also have their independent shows – Gotham and Constantine.

Supergirl will air on CBS sometime in 2015 with a 13 episode commitment. The Flash airs Tuesday nights at 8PM and Arrow airs Wednesday nights at 8PM on The CW. Their first big crossover event begins with the December 2nd episode of The Flash and concludes the next night on Arrow. Are you excited for all of this? Let us know in the comments!
