New Marvel Titles for Secret Wars Are No Longer Secret

Marvel Comics’ Secret Wars is quickly approaching and today they announced several new titles that will be tying in to the event.

First up is an all-female Avengers team called A-Force, featuring She-Hulk, Dazzler, Medusa, Nico Minoru, a new character named Singularity, and many more. The run will be written by G. Willow Wilson and Marguerite K. Bennett, with artwork by Jorge Molina. It’s an exciting step to see more females featured as leads in comic titles!

Deadpool himself will also be taking part in Secret Wars, but not in the way you may think – especially because he’ll be biting the dust in April. A new run titled Deadpool’s Secret Secret Wars will debut and take place decades before our current Secret Wars, to show how Wade Wilson was involved with the original Secret Wars. It will be written by Cullen Bunn and with art by Matteo Lolli.

Secret Wars Journal is going to be an anthology set in the all-new world: Battleworld. It will have stories featuring the X-Men, Misty Knighty, Millie the Model, and more.

Peter David and Will Sliney will transform Spider-Man 2099 to Secret Wars 2099. It will primarily focus on The Avengers of 2099, which will feature a female Captain America.

Elektra will also play a part as she goes to the world of Master of Kung Fu as a tie in to Battleworld.

Jonathan Hickman and Esad Ribic are going to kick off Secret Wars in May. The general gist will combine the 616 Marvel Universe with the Ultimate Universe to create one new, massive universe.

Are you excited for these new Marvel titles? What are you hoping will happen in Secret Wars?
