We’re Positive You’ll Love This New Trailer for Pixar’s Inside Out

Disney and Pixar’s next film comes out this summer and they just released the best trailer for it yet! Watch the second trailer for Inside Out below.

While previous trailers have been charming and intriguing, this new trailer gives us a grasp on the plot and a much better overall feeling of the movie.

We’ve gotten to know Riley’s (Kaitlyn Dias) emotions briefly before but now we know exactly what they’ll be getting up to. Joy (Amy Poehler) and Sadness (Phyllis Smith) accidentally get sucked into a different part of Riley’s brain, leaving Fear (Bill Hader), Disgust (Mindy Kaling), and Anger (Lewis Black) in charge.

Joy is the clear leader and losing her makes things very complicated. However, Pixar uses this complicated situation to their advantage by taking their famous creativity to explore the human brain.

We get brief glimpses of Joy and Sadness in Long Term Memory, Imagination Land, and Dream Productions (which is a clever riff on any big Hollywood studio). And this is just the trailer!

This trailer ultimately gives us confirmation that Pixar is doing something, once again, wholly unique and imaginative but very grounded in the human connection. This is a company that has become known for their animated films ignoring any sort of idea that animated films are only for children. Inside Out seems to continue that trend in a very rewarding way.

Seeing the various mood swings Riley faces in the trailer will undoubtedly garner a reaction from the audience, no matter their age.

I think this will be another hit for Pixar and I can’t wait to see it. I’m also excited for their stellar cast.

Inside Out comes out on June 19th, directed by Pete Docter and Ronaldo Del Carmen, and starring Diane Lane, Kyle MacLachlan, Kaitlyn Dias, Amy Poehler, Bill Hader, Mindy Kaling, Phyllis Smith, and Lewis Black.
