Showtime Orders More Haunts with Penny Dreadful Season 3

Get ready for more haunts because Showtime has renewed their critically acclaimed series, Penny Dreadful, for Season 3!

Showtime Networks President David Nevins announced the news today:

“John Logan’s brilliant writing and this amazingly talented ensemble continue to draw a passionate, global fanbase into the meticulously crafted world of ‘Penny Dreadful’. Together with our wonderful partners at Sky Atlantic, we’re excited to see what new haunts John and his team have in store for season three.”

The series, inspired by popular serial literature produced during the nineteenth century, is currently in its second season which will conclude on July 5th.

It has seen characters Vanessa Ives (Eva Green) and Ethan Chandler (Josh Hartnett) grow closer as their group, consisting of Sir Malcolm (Timothy Dalton), Dr. Frankenstein (Harry Treadaway), and Sembene (Danny Sapani), work together to fight against evil.

Broadway star Patti LuPone had a guest role and Helen McCrory returned as Evelyn Poole, a particular delight in the series.

Season 3 will begin production in Dublin this fall for a nine-episode order set to air in 2016.

We’re especially excited for Season 3 in anticipation of Bif Bang Pow! possibly making new action figures and journals! See all current Penny Dreadful products from Bif Bang Pow! at EntertainmentEarth.com.
