Will Mad Max: Fury Road’s George Miller Direct Man of Steel 2?

Did you love Mad Max: Fury Road? (Of course you did.) Did you like Man of Steel? (Debatable.) Then we’ve got some great news for you.

According to Jon Schnepp, director of The Death of “Superman Lives”: What Happened? and host of the Collider talk-show Heroes, revealed that George Miller is set to direct Man of Steel 2.

There’s no other confirmation at this point but when Schnepp made the bold declaration on Popcorn Talk’s “DC Movie News,” he sounded confident. You can watch the video below, where he states this news around 55:30.

Despite Schnepp’s confidence, it’s just conjecture for the rest of us but I’d be lying if I said it’s not getting my blood pumped already.

I love Superman, but I think Man of Steel was an overall disappointing film. Fury Road, on the other hand, is easily one of the best films of the year.

For a simple story, Fury Road was full of incredible visuals, practical effects, and strong characters.

While it is only a rumor right now, it’s not the first time Miller has been attached to a Warner Bros. DC Comics movie. He was once set to direct the now defunct Justice League Mortals film and was spotted on the set of Suicide Squad recently.

You’ll next see Henry Cavill’s Superman in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice in 2016 and George Miller’s sequel to Fury Road, titled Mad Max: The Wasteland, has been officially announced.

Do you think George Miller is a good choice for a Superman flick? What do you hope it will be about? Share your thoughts in the comments!
