Check Out Official Details for Season of the Force at Disneyland, Starting November 16th

As reported in December of last year, Star Wars is going to start having a much bigger presence in the Disney parks. At D23 Expo this year, Star Wars Land was officially announced for both the Disneyland and Walt Disney World resorts.

They also announced Season of the Force, which the Disney Parks Blog released official details for yesterday!

It will open in Disneyland on November 16th and include a variety of experiences, including character meet-and-greets as well as limited-time events.

First up is the Star Wars Launch Bay, which I believe will be located in Innoventions.

This will be an immersive experience, catering to both the dark and light sides.

For those who are loyal to the Empire, there will be an opportunity to meet Darth Vader and check out a gallery of props, including Stormtrooper armor and Sith lightsabers.

However, if you’re part of the Rebellion, you’ll be excited to check out their gallery, featuring Rebel pilot helmets and Jedi lightsabers. You’ll also get the chance to meet the one and only Chewbacca!

There will be two other galleries in the bay, one for The Force Awakens and another for starships and their pilots.

Plus don’t miss the Game Center where you can play the latest Star Wars video games!

In December, Disneyland will unveil Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple, where you’ll get to encounter characters from Star Wars Rebels.

As heavily rumored, the popular attraction Star Tours – The Adventures Continue will get a new scene from The Force Awakens. I’m thinking either something with the Millennium Falcon on Jakku or an X-Wing with Poe Dameron.

Lastly, there will be some limited-time experiences, such as Hyperspace Mountain. The rollercoaster is getting an update that puts you in the middle of an X-Wing and TIE Fighter battle.

Other limited features include classic Star Wars scenes playing at the Tomorrowland Theatre and themed food.

Details for Season of the Force at Walt Disney World will be released soon. At Disneyland, the fun begins on November 16th. Remember, Season of the Force is separate from Star Wars Land.
