Which Legendary Final Fantasy Hero Joins Nintendo’s Super Smash Bros. Roster?

Yesterday, the Super Smash Bros. YouTube account released an exciting video introducing a character into the melee. It’s a character we all know and love and one that fans are undoubtedly going to be thrilled is joining the franchise…

Check it out!

Yup, that sure is Cloud Strife from Final Fantasy VII joining the popular multi-player Nintendo fighting game!

There’s no word on when he’ll arrive, but he’ll become a playable character for the game on 3DS and Wii U.

As can be seen in the video, he comes with limit breaks, an Odin summon, and an alternative costume based on his appearance in the film Advent Children.

Cloud has appeared in games on Nintendo platforms (such as Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories for the Game Boy Advance) but Final Fantasy VII itself has never been adapted to a Nintendo platform.

There’s also going to be a new stage based on the city of Midgar and a Chocobo costume for the Mii fighter.

Are you excited to see and play as Cloud in Super Smash Bros.? Sound off in the comments!
