Could Marvel Challenge DC and Release Daredevil Season 2 the Same Day as Batman v Superman?

Once upon a time, Marvel’s Captain America: Civil War and Warner Bros.’ Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice were supposed to open on the same day. Not wanting to go up against each other, WB moved BvS to March 25.

Well, it looks like Marvel might not let them off the hook that easily.

According to CB, the second season of Marvel’s first Netflix hit, Daredevil, might also be premiering on March 25. It’s still just a rumor at this point, but Entertainment Weekly earlier reported the show would hit Netflix sometime in March.

If this is true, it’s a bold move on Marvel’s part.

Some might think it’s not a big deal because Netflix and movies are two completely different mediums. After all, you could binge Daredevil on Friday and then see BvS over the weekend, or vice-verse.

But as ScreenRant astutely points out, Jessica Jones debuted the same day as The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2 in November and THG made significantly less money than expected. And even if Daredevil doesn’t take away from BvS’ profits, it’ll certainly take away from the conversation.

BvS is a big movie for WB’s DC cinematic universe. Pretty much everything hinges on this film, so it needs to do well. However, if this does end up being true, it will keep adding more and more relevance to Netflix.

Where will your loyalties lie if they both come out on the same day? Let us know below!
