100 Years of Zombies Video Shows the Evolution of Monsters in Pop Culture

Zombies are a big, and popular, part of our culture these days. But it hasn’t just been the past handful of years that zombies have existed.

In this new video, Top Trending takes us through 100 years of zombie evolution in pop culture and the result is pretty amazing – and scary!

With the incredible power of make-up, they go through several different zombie interpretations through the years, including information like how they move and how they can be killed.

They start with the voodoo zombie in 1932, which is a living person who has simply become a mindless minion by drinking a poison.

The video goes all the way up to 2015 with the Volatile from Dying Light, definitely the bloodiest of all the zombies.

It’s a fascinating evolution, especially in showing that artists have depicted zombies as more powerful and dangerous over time.
