Thoughts You Have While Watching the Final Batman v Superman Trailer

We’re a little more than a month out from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and today we received the final trailer. (Don’t worry about watching the same few trailers over the next month, we’re about to enter the onslaught of TV spots phase.)

The trailer strikes a fun tone, which is surprising given how dour the previous trailers have been, and I had a lot of thoughts while watching it. And because this is the internet, I’m going to share them with you.

“Am I playing Arkham Knight? Use stealth mode, Batman!”

It was definitely cool to see the Batwing in action, and also seeing Alfred so heavily involved in Batman’s mission. Jeremy Irons is going to be the coolest Alfred we’ve had yet.

“We’re all with you on this one, Bruce. This was a terrible fight. But Superman isn’t your enemy! The bad characterization in Man of Steel is! And what’s with the weirdly political one percent line?”

“This is a confusing shot. Why does the Batmobile bounce off Superman? Are they playing bumper cars? Shouldn’t the Batmobile crash into Superman? He’s the Man of Steel, not Mister Fantastic.”

“You go, Lois! But what’s with the bandage on Luthor’s hand? There’s gotta be something behind that.”

“All riiiiiiiight. Nice to see one of the best DC Comics couples having a good time, rather than the sterile treatment they got in the Movie That Shall Not Be Named. But please, Clark, you’re overflowing the bathtub.”

“She speaks! Finally! Man, the boys and their petty fighting all seem rather silly when Wonder Woman shows up.”

“Be still my heart.”

“Superman just needs a nap, guys. He’s put through so much. Let’s start a GoFundMe page so he and Lois can take a vacation.”

Here’s the trailer so you can gather your own thoughts:

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, directed by Zack Snyder and starring Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Amy Adams, Jesse Eisenberg, Diane Lane, Jeremy Irons, Gal Gadot, Jason Momoa, and Laurence Fishburne, is set to hit theaters on March 25, 2016.
