Do you remember LV-426 from the Alien franchise?
Well, 20th Century Fox sure does and they’re taking those last four digits, 426, and turning its date, April 26, into “Alien Day,” and from everything that’s been released about it so far, it actually sounds pretty cool.
The thing that’s got everyone buzzing most so far are Reebok’s Alien Stomper Sneakers, “an exact replica of the ALIEN High-Top Stompers worn by Sigourney Weaver as Ellen Ripley.”
The shoes will be available on Alien Day at select Reebok stores and on reebok.com.
Of course, what would Alien Day be without the movies themselves? The Alamo Drafthouse theaters will be screening both movies in over 20 cities on April 26 and each pre-ordered ticket receives a special Alien t-shirt designed by Mondo.
One of the biggest events on Alien Day is a planned 24-hour Twitter contest. The Twitter account @AlienAnthology will be presenting a new trivia question every 42.6 minutes with different themed prizes.
Fans will have to register their Twitter account beforehand here and reply to the initial question with the hashtags #AlienDay426 and #Contest.
Furthermore, brands like NECA, Funko, Dark Horse Comics, and Titan Books will be releasing new products!
