We have a massive Marvel sequel coming our way in a month, but later this year, the studio will be premiering their next origin film, the first since last summer’s Ant-Man.
The film in question is Doctor Strange, starring Benedict Cumberbatch, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Rachel McAdams, Tilda Swinton, and Mads Mikkelsen, and the first set photos have been released, sparking a lot of excitement from fans.

As someone who followed the casting rumors of Stephen Strange closely, and was supportive of suggested actors like Pedro Pascal, Oscar Isaac, and Oded Fehr (who has just joined Marvel’s Most Wanted), seeing Cumberbatch in the full costume in action (not just promotional photos) was not something I was fully prepared for.
He looks really impressive, and so much like the character with whom I’m familiar.
And that’s not even getting to Ejifor as Baron Mordo, who looks just as badass!

It is definitely okay to giggle while watching this video, as undoubtedly there’s going to be effects added in during post-production, but watching Cumberbatch and Ejiofor leap in unison is pretty hilarious. That’s what we call movie-making magic.
Doctor Strange is set to bow into theaters on November 4, 2016, with Scott Derrickson directing and Jon Spaihts penning the script. It stars Benedict Cumberbatch, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Tilda Swinton, Michael Stuhlbarg, Rachel McAdams, and Mads Mikkelsen.
