Spider-Man: Homecoming Adds Two New Cast Members

So we have a title for the new Spider-Man movie (Spider-Man: Homecoming), a divisive logo, and now we have two new cast members!

One Life to Live star Laura Harrier has landed a “significant role” in the upcoming film, according to TheWrap.

While significant role could mean a number a things, her age immediately makes characters Mary Jane Watson and Gwen Stacy spring to mind. Of course, she could be playing someone entirely different, but it’d be rad to see her take on one of these iconic characters in the Spidey mythos.

Meanwhile, Deadline reports that Tony Revolori of The Grand Budapest Hotel fame has joined the film as Peter’s “nemesis/enemy at high school, but isn’t a super villain.”

Speaking of bad guys, Michael Keaton is still in talks for a villain role, but there’s no updates beyond that.

Spider-Man: Homecoming, directed by Jon Watts and starring Tom Holland, Marisa Tomei, Zendaya, Laura Harrier, and Tony Revolori is set to hit theaters on July 7, 2017.

What do you think of these casting choices? Who do you believe they’re playing? Sound off below!
