We all love Tina Fey, right? She’s a successful Saturday Night Live alum, creator of both 30 Rock and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, writer of Mean Girls (which might become a Broadway musical). She’s done a lot of things that consistently make us smile and laugh.
But will her next project do that?
She spoke to the The Chicago Tribune recently and her long-rumored involvement in a Hocus Pocus film came up. So what did she have to say?
“There’s a script in development, it is not so much a remake.”
That is straight-up confirmation we might be getting another Hocus Pocus film! Last we heard about a follow-up film to the popular Disney Halloween film was original star Bette Midler saying “unequivocally” that there would be no sequel.
Fey said this film isn’t a remake, but she also didn’t say it’s a sequel. The film is obviously in early stages so any possible cast members are far off, but even a spin-off film, with Fey at the helm, is very exciting.
