Suicide Squad to Have Major Presence at This Year’s San Diego Comic-Con

Suicide Squad made waves at last year’s San Diego Comic-Con, but this year Warner Bros. is planning to do much more than that with the highly anticipated film.

While the film’s Hall H panel, complete with the cast, is still under wraps, the studio announced today that it would have a much larger presence than just a panel at this year’s sensational con.

The cast will not only be at the panel, but also appear on the show floor at the DC Entertainment booth to meet fans, sign autographs, and take pictures. There is not a full list of which cast members will be appearing yet.

There will also be a special taping on Conan O’Brien’s TBS show on Saturday, July 23, during SDCC to screen later that evening.

If celebs aren’t quite your thing, there will be plenty of other Suicide Squad-y things going down at the con you can experience, such as part of the Hard Rock Hotel in the Gaslamp Quarter being transformed into Belle Reve, the prison where members of the team are held.

Plus, there’s going to be a Harley Quinn tattoo parlor and virtual reality experience for fans to fight alongside the Squad in a scene from the film.

Finally, there’s also a cosplay contest you can enter to win an all-expenses-paid trip to SDCC next month. The contest, called Squad Up!, will award 11 different winners (one for each of the major characters) and end on June 29.

SDCC runs at the San Diego Convention Center from July 21-24, with Preview Night on July 20. Suicide Squad arrives in theaters on August 5.

Are you going to SDCC? Do you plan to participate in the Suicide Squad shenanigans?
