Bandai’s new Sailor Moon statuette series is delicate and dreamy, foregrounding the femininity that anchors the series. The latest statue has been revealed to be the Sailor Moon Chibi-Usa and Helios FiguartsZero Chouette Statue.
Featured in the Dream Arc/Sailor Moon SuperS series of Sailor Moon, Helios is the priest and guardian of Elysion, sealed inside the body of a winged-unicorn by the Dead Moon Circus. Chibi-Usa is called on to aid him, and the two become close allies. Here, Chibi-Usa in her flowing princess dress meets Helios in pegasus-form. The piece is delicate and romantic, with pearl and translucent paint to add to the fairy-tale aesthetic Bandai are going for with the Chouette line.
Chibi-Usa and Pegasus stand on a base with a silver edging, their names printed into the base. The statue is 5 1/2-inches tall and is due to be shipped in April next year.
