For starters, it’s the first time Diana Prince will get her own feature-length, live-action film. Many agree that Gal Gadot’s Amazonian hero was a highlight in Batman V. Superman, and longtime fans of the lasso-wielding warrior can’t wait to see her shine in her own movie.
The fact that Wonder Woman is also being helmed by a female director with serious accolades, Monster‘s Patty Jenkins, bodes well for the final product, as well.
Now, a new international trailer has been released with even more footage highlighting Diana’s boss battle skills. It may be dubbed in Russian, but the new action pieces featured hammers home the fact that Wonder Woman is a serious force to be reckoned with.
As comic writer Gail Simone says: “If you need to stop an asteroid, you call Superman. If you need to solve a mystery, you call Batman. But if you need to end a war, you call Wonder Woman.”
Wonder Woman will be tackling the battlefields of WWI June 2, 2017, and stars Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Connie Nielsen, Robin Wright, Danny Huston, and David Thewlis.
