Although there have been many iterations of Batgirl, there’s none quite like the original. Created by Bill Finger and Sheldon Moldoff in 1961 – “Bat-Girl” Betty Kane was the niece and Robin-like sidekick to Batwoman, Kathy Kane. Unfortunately, she was retconned out of existence, like some many other heroes, after DC’s 1985 Crisis on Infinite Earths storyline.
Now the original Batgirl has been brought back to life thanks to Tweeterhead with this Batman Classic Collection Batgirl Statue. The resin maquette, sculpted by Mike Cusanelli and Trevor Grove, sports Betty Kane’s classic red and green outfit and stands 11-inches atop her base.
