Funko Gets Nostalgic with These Mega Man Dorbz

In 2015, Funko announced its Dorbz line. The design of these vinyl figures is inspired by the old Kokeshi dolls, which are originally from northern Japan. It is said that these dolls were originally made during the Edo period (1600 – 1868) of Japanese history and sold to people who were visiting the local hot springs. Kokeshi dolls were made out of wood with a simple trunk base and an enlarged rounded head with details painted on the face and body. Over centuries these dolls have inspired many other toys and even Nintendo’s digital, customizable avatar “Mii!”

The video game series Mega Man also hails from Japan and has been a fan favorite since it’s initial release in 1987. Key characters including Mega Man, Rush, Proto Man, and Dr. Wily are now available in Dorbz form! Join me in this double dose of nostalgia and order the Mega Man Dorbz now!
