Exquisite Emperor Palpatine ArtFX+ Statue

Moviegoers knew almost nothing about the Emperor when he first appeared “in the flesh” in Star Wars: Return of the Jedi.

None of us knew he’d once been a senator from Naboo (since George Lucas hadn’t yet dreamed Naboo up).

We didn’t know he’d destroyed the Senate Chamber in an epic lightsaber duel with Yoda years before he dissolved the Senate itself.

And we didn’t know his last name was Palpatine unless we’d read the prologue to the original Star Wars novelization… and those who had never guessed his first name (as established in James Luceno’s 2014 novel, Tarkin) was Shiv.

But we knew the Emperor was evil – unambiguously, indisputably evil.

We knew it because of the glee he takes in springing his trap on the Rebel Fleet.

We heard it in his croaking cackle as he revels in Luke and Vader’s combat.

Above all, we saw it in his haunting, hideous appearance.

The crooked back, gnarled hands, wrinkled and reptilian face, deep-set and red-ringed eyes – they all reflect an ugly heart and soul (assuming he had a heart or soul).

The new Star Wars Emperor Palpatine ArtFX+ statue from Kotobukiya captures the Emperor in his mysterious, malevolent majesty.

“A small man was he,” James Kahn wrote of the Emperor in his Return of the Jedi novelization, “shriveled with age and evil.” The exacting Kotobukiya artists have meticulously recreated every fold in his robes and crease in his flesh.

This PVC statue is sculpted to 1:10 scale. It sits about 5-3/4 inches high. The Emperor is seated in his throne-like control chair, pondering the next turn he foresees in his nefarious scheme for crushing the Rebellion and turning young Skywalker to the Dark Side.

Pre-order your Emperor Palpatine ArtFX+ statue today and make sure the small, shriveled Sith Lord has a place in your collection. You won’t want to celebrate Return of the Jedi’s 35th anniversary next year without it!
