Geek Headlines: Jurassic World Games, Avengers: Infinity War Trailer, and More!

We’ve set our clocks ahead an hour, March Madness has begun, and some people have even begun that ritual of cleaning extensively for spring. We’re also about to head into a big blockbuster season of films which once again includes one of the biggest of blockbuster franchises, Jurassic Park with Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. This week we were hit with quite a few updates in the world of Jurassic Park. So let’s review this week’s geek headlines, shall we?

Walking with the Dinosaurs

With less than 100 days until Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom hits theaters, the promotional momentum has kicked into gear! While dino-fans eagerly await the latest film, there’s plenty of news to tide them over until then. Game Studio Ludia has developed a Pokémon GO inspired game called Jurassic World: Alive where players can collect a variety of dinosaurs while exploring their own neighborhoods. The dinosaurs will appear on your phone’s map much like Pokémon would before tossing out a Pokéball and capturing your new Poke-friend. Jurassic World: Alive will be similar and fans got their first official look with this new video released earlier this week.

Sticking in the Jurassic Universe and on the gaming side of things, Jeff Goldblum announced that he’ll return as Dr. Ian Malcolm in the Jurassic World: Evolution video game. While you won’t be able to play as him, his voice will guide you throughout the action in an advisory role. You can play this game on PC, PS4, and Xbox One when it releases later this summer. Watch the announcement in the very Goldblum-y video below!

Jurassic Park Funko Pop Giveaway

We’re living in the prehistoric world of dinosaurs in this week’s update so it makes sense that the collectible portion of our weekly review is dino-tastic as well! Funko released their Jurassic Park line of Pops this week which include Dr. Alan Grant, Dr. Ian Malcolm, John Hammond, Dennis Nedry, a Velociraptor, Dilophosaurus, and Tyrannosaurus Rex. You can also get the Entertainment Earth Exclusive 2 Pack of Dennis Nedry and the Dilophosaurus. And this week, thanks to Entertainment Earth and Jurassic Outpost, you can enter to win the seven Funko Pops for yourself! Head over to their site now and get entered to win your very own set.

The Final Trailer for the Avengers Ultimate Battle

Not to be outdone, Marvel released the final trailer for the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War.
