San Diego Comic-Con 2019: Comic-Con Worthy TV Premieres on Preview Night

It’s here. San Diego Comic-Con. It feels just like yesterday that swarms of fans were leaving sunny Southern California in droves upon completion of yet another successful con. But we are back with another Comic-Con. And this year marks the 50th anniversary.

Today was Day 0 (also known as Preview Night). It’s a night where the collecting die-hards can get their hands on all the juiciest of all exclusives. While most of the entertainment news will start to reveal over the next few days, tonight was all about getting a glimpse at all the major toy and collectible releases and previewing upcoming concepts. Here’s our daily wrap-up of all things SDCC, Preview Night Edition!

Tales from Hall H & Ballroom 20

There wasn’t a lot to report tonight but in Ballroom 20, but Warner Bros. did unveil a few World Premiere screenings for lucky fans in attendance. They rolled out the first episode of The CW’s latest entry into the Arrowverse with Batwoman. The show won’t debut until October, but fans were delighted to see some live action Gotham crime-fighting with a fresh face under the cowl. The WB also screened the first episode of the EPIX series Pennyworth as well. This series will take viewers along with a younger Alfred Pennyworth as he begins working with an equally younger Thomas Wayne well before the birth of Bruce. Ballroom 20 also unveiled some footage from their partner Rooster Tooth, and an episode of the upcoming FOX series Prodigal Son starring Tom Payne from The Walking Dead.

The NECA booth proudly displayed their new line of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles figures that will be on sale next year in two-packs featuring April O’Neal, Casey Jones, and several different Foot Clan members. You can click on the included links to take a look at all the photos from the show floor of these great new figures.
