More Baby Yoda Merch Is on the Way!

Time to give away my age:

I turned eight in May 1980, when Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back was ruling the box office (and yes, I was convinced Darth Vader was lying to Luke) and Kenner’s Yoda action figure was nearly impossible to find, at least in my area. Everyone loved the Jedi Master. Stores couldn’t keep the toy on the pegs. It must have been a good six months before I got that must-have cute little green guy into my collection.

So for everyone out there lamenting the current dearth of “Baby Yoda” toys and collectibles? Take heart! As “grown-up Yoda” might tell you, “Patience you must have. To those who wait, good things come.”

Case in point: Hasbro’s announcement today of brand-new “Baby Yoda” merch due to arrive in spring 2020.

Fans of “The Child” (we know, he’s not literally Yoda as an infant), the bona fide breakout star of The Mandalorian on Disney+ – and right now, who isn’t? – will have a wonderful assortment of toys and collectibles to choose from in only a few short months.

Here’s a look at what Hasbro is hoping “Baby Yoda” boosters will start tracking down via pre-order starting now (no special fobs required).

Baby Bounties Mini-Figures

Baby Yoda’s already given viewers so many precious, meme-worthy moments – OMG, he’s sipping a cup of soup, that’s a-DOR-a-ble! – and these 2 1/2-inch permanently posed figures capture them for your collection in three different two-packs.

One set pairs the soup sip that broke the internet with “Baby Yoda” snug in his blankie; another shows him snacking on a frog and using the Force; and the third, “Baby Yoda” with his ball toy and his heartbreaking “don’t leave” scene. (No, you’re crying!)

The Child 7 1/2-Inch Electronic Plush Toy

The Child Talking Plush Baby Yoda

If while watching Chapter 5, “The Gunslinger,” you felt annoyed because Peli Motto (played by Amy Sedaris) got quality snuggle time with “Baby Yoda” and you didn’t, then this plush doll is for you!

He stands a sweet 7-1/2-inches tall, is wearing his cuddly cute robe, has poseable arms – perfect for giving hugs or wielding the Force, as circumstances warrant – and makes heart-melting baby sounds when you squeeze his soft body.

This “Baby Yoda” merch also comes with his very own bone broth bowl and frog (because sometimes soup just won’t cut it).

The Child 6 1/2-Inch Action Figure

6 1/2 The Child Baby Yoda

Size may “matter not,” but for fans who think “Baby Yoda” is cute and all but just too darn little, here’s a 6 1/2-inch action figure ready for plenty of pose-and-play fun.

With multiple points of articulation and screen-accurate detail, only on a slightly larger scale, this toy is sure to top the “most wanted asset” list of any figure-collecting fan of The Mandalorian.

The Black Series The Child Action Figure

OK, all you Black Series action figure collectors: We know you don’t want this 1-inch collectible action figure because he’s cute.

His premium articulation, allowing him a superior range of mobility? Check. The meticulous attention to on-screen detail, including the accessories (broth bowl, toy ball, and frog)? Of course. Such things are the hallmarks of Hasbro’s Black Series line. Serious collectors like you demand nothing less.

The fact that Black Series “Baby Yoda” is so gosh-darn adorable you can hardly stand it has nothing to do with anything…

Yeah. Right. Just like Jawas always respect other people’s property.

Find Your “Baby Yoda” Collectibles at Entertainment Earth

Meanwhile, don’t forget Mattel has already announced a ready-to-cuddle 11-inch plush The Child doll with roto-vinyl head, sparkling glass eyes, and a soft body with sturdy bean-filled base. He comes specially packaged in a hover crib just like the one seen in the show (actual repulsor tech sold separately).

You’ll also want to clear space on your shelves at home or your desk at work – or, frankly, any flat surface anywhere you can find – for Funko’s “Baby Yoda” Pop! vinyl figures, in both 3 3/4-inch and “super-sized” 10-inch varieties.

We’ve had some fun with how the world’s gone gaga for Baby Yoda, but here’s the serious truth:

Demand for “Baby Yoda” merchandise is higher and hotter than anything Star Wars has seen in a while. The Mandalorian’s debut season will soon be over, but the odds Baby Yoda will be back for season 2 are so good, you could even tell Han Solo about them, which means this new must-have cute little green guy is going to be top of mind for a long time to come.

Don’t be disappointed when spring 2020 comes! Pre-order your “Baby Yoda” merch from Entertainment Earth today!
