A Hopeful Message from Jason Labowitz (Who’s That?)

Dear Collectors,

I started to write a similar email to what you’ve already been receiving from many other companies. After a few rewrites, it still didn’t read like it was being sent from me – a father, husband, business owner, friend, colleague – and now teacher, tech support for family members, along with other newfound duties foisted upon me. My experience is probably similar to what you’re going through.

As a company, we’ve been doing what everyone else has been doing; reading the official news as it comes out, rapidly discussing strategies with management and HR, making adjustments for a remote workforce and required social distancing, communicating with our staff as often as we can, increasing our cleaning routines, and numerous other measures. While operations may quiet down for a bit, we will be back in full force when the time is right.

So, let’s talk about some hopeful things. We have a passionate and dedicated staff that loves what they do. We’re collectors like you. Our love for these products isn’t changing.

As an example, New York Toy Fair was so encouraging last month (feels like a year ago!). We saw incredible, fun, innovative new products from dozens of manufacturers such as Hasbro, Mattel, Funko, Mezco, McFarlane, NECA, Super 7, Bandai, Spin Master, LEGO, and many others. (I’m not going to list them all here.

Seriously, the innovation and excitement coming out of that February show was really important for the toy industry. These companies have given us hope for this year, and we greatly appreciate them.

More good news is that we’ve confirmed that these manufacturers ARE making new products and preparing them for shipment as different parts of the world are starting to get back on their feet. That’s encouraging as we focus on the future but take action to protect us today.

This brings us to you, our loyal clients. We know you’re distracted too, but we thank you for your business. We will be here when you want your action figures, toys, and collectibles, as we have been since 1996.

Our website is open for business, even though things behind the scenes might be running a bit slower than usual. We look forward to providing you with a few moments of fun and hope during these difficult times.

Thank you so much,

Jason Labowitz
