Who hasn’t ever wanted to ride or drive in a classic DeLorean? Ever since Back to the Future, the cars have been revered.
Unfortunately, they’re a rare find. Until now, that is.
Thanks to a new law that was just passed, the DeLorean Motor Company can start making replica DeLorean vehicles.
What the law says is that small car manufacturers are exempt from the safety requirements of newer vehicles if they make “replica” cars of vehicles from at least 25 years ago.
Luckily, the DeLorean fits the bill!
As of now, the company just focuses on restoring original DeLoreans that still exist, but now they can start making their own. And they’re certainly looking into it.
According to the company, they’re looking at new engines and bigger tires. Take note of them being exempt from safety standards, and the fact that the price of these cars is expected to be between $80,000 and $100,000.
Actually, let’s just focus on the fact that there might be new DeLoreans in the world!
