If you just can’t wait for the premiere of Preacher this Sunday on AMC, then get ready, because the network just dropped the first four-and-a-half minutes of the pilot.
These first few minutes contain some definite spoilers (and gruesome violence) so don’t watch if you want to go into the pilot totally in the dark, but I have to say: these first minutes are awesome.

From the show opening with Genesis headed towards Earth, to the haunting and aesthetic-appropriate music as we get our first look at lead character Jesse Custer (Dominic Cooper), this should get anyone, fan or otherwise, excited for this show.
Based on the Vertigo comic of the same name, here’s the synopsis for the series:
Preacher is a supernatural, twisted and darkly comedic drama that follows a West Texas preacher named Jesse Custer (Dominic Cooper), who is inhabited by a mysterious entity that causes him to develop a highly unusual power. Jesse, his badass ex-girlfriend Tulip (Ruth Negga), and an Irish vagabond named Cassidy (Joe Gilgun) come together and when they do, they are thrust into a crazy world populated by a cast of characters from Heaven, Hell and everywhere in between.
The show airs this Sunday at 10/9c on AMC.
