The fourth Avengers movie, which we finally learn is named Endgame, doesn’t show the kind massive fight scenes that we are used to seeing in MCU trailers. Even more surprising than that, we don’t see a lot of superheroes strutting their most awesome powers. We don’t even see a lot of Thanos, though his presence is keenly felt.
No, from what we can tell, this fourth movie picks up where audiences let their tears flow. We find Black Widow and Steve Rogers dealing with their losses. You’ll remember that much of our heroic team was turned to ash by Thanos and it will fall to Black Widow and Cap to find a plan to move forward, as unlikely as that may seem.
Audiences and fans may have lost hope at the end of Avengers: Infinity War, but ultimately, this trailer brings it back. For example, it looks like we haven’t seen the end of Iron Man and Ant-Man, though things do look bad for Tony Stark, as he is drifting in space, awaiting his demise. Who could step in to stage a galactic lifesaving mission? It looks like that job might very well fall to the newest member of the group, Captain Marvel (who got her own trailer, as well!).
And how is it that Ant-Man is able to return to Earth? It could be that the Ant-Man was actually saved by his trip to the Quantum Realm. How he gets out, is still unclear, of course, but he was safe from Thanos there, no matter how he gets back.
Regardless of how Iron Man, Ant-Man, and Captain Marvel work into the plan to avenge the Avengers, it would be ridiculous to discount the significance of the duo of Black Widow and Captain America, who have something to say to Thanos and anyone should be afraid in that situation.
