Young Batkid Will Move You to Tears in First Trailer

Over the past couple of years, some of you might have heard of Batkid. Real name Miles Scott is a young boy who, at the age of 5, was fighting Leukemia. His only wish, to become a superhero, was granted by the Make-A-Wish Foundation in November 2013.

The incredible tale, which will undoubtedly have you tearing up, is being made into a film titled Batkid Begins. The first trailer was released and you can watch it below!

The film will document Scott’s fight against Leukemia and why he identifies so much with superheroes, Batman especially.

“One of his doctors told us that with this disease, they just become, like, a fighter,” Scott’s father said. “They fight for life. I think he sees the good vs. evil battle in superheroes.”

For his wish, the entire city of San Francisco was transformed into Gotham Ciy. Scott, dressed up in full Bat gear, got to tag along with a grown-up Batman to help save the day from villains like the Riddler and Penguin.

Originally, the story went viral quickly, gaining attention from the actors who have played Batman over the years to President Obama himself which the documentary also touches on.

As of November, Scott’s Leukemia was in remission.

Batkid Begins is set to open in select theaters on June 26th.
