New Photo of Ben Affleck as Batman

Zack Snyder debuted a very special photo of Batman for fans at San Diego Comic-Con this past Wednesday. In the photo, The Dark Knight broods in the shadows as the camera captures him in a sharp close-up, taken by photographer Clay Enos.

The photo, part of a montage wall celebrating Batman’s 75th Anniversary, was an instant hit, drawing more than a few oooh’s and ahhh’s from fans at the convention. Ben Affleck himself, along with Henry Cavill (Superman) and Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman) made a brief appearance to view the new official movie photos as well as to see the first intense footage from Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice.

While Affleck remains a questionable casting choice to naysayers, he undoubtedly makes a good profile shot for the illustrious caped crusader. As for the movie star himself? “Every kid should see their dad as a superhero,” Affleck, a father of three, told Jimmy Fallon. “It’s so awesome and I’m so excited.”

Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice premieres March 25, 2016.
