Sam Wilson (AKA Falcon) was created by Stan Lee and artist Gene Colan, and was introduced in Captain America #117. The Falcon was the first mainstream first African-American superhero.
In October 2015, Marvel Comics launched a new ongoing Captain America comic, in which Steve Rogers retires and Sam Wilson takes up the mantle – and shield – of Captain America and leader of the Avengers.
Diamond Select immortalizes this transition with its Marvel Gallery Captain America Sam Wilson Statue. Sam is posed with his wings spread out to his side in his morden-day patriotic Captain America costume. This highly detailed sculpt features exacting paint details, as well as a removable shield that can be placed on his arm or on his back. The statue measures approximately 10-inches tall and comes packaged in a full-color window box.
Pre-order this patriotic statue today; it will arrive in October 2017.
