Could The Flash TV Series Introduce a Justice League Origin Story?

Did we just learn where The CW’s The Flash is taking us in the future? Based on a tweet from the official Twitter account, we just might have.

At the end of this week’s episode, Barry (Grant Gustin), Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker), and Cisco (Carlos Valdes) found Harrison Wells/Eobard Thawne’s secret room and the Reverse Flash Suit.

With this comic book-like teaser image on Twitter, it looks like they will also meet the A.I. system, Gideon. That’s not all, however, as Gideon addresses Barry with: “Of course, Barry Allen, Director of Central City Police, CSI Division. Also known as the Flash, founding member of the Justice — ”

JUSTICE_LEAGUE_OF_AMERICA_4_3_0Barry then cuts Gideon off but the intelligence system was most definitely about to say Justice League.

This makes that Superman rumor a lot more interesting, doesn’t it?

Given The Flash’s frequent crossovers with Arrow, perhaps Oliver (Stephen Amell) will also be involved with a Justice League origin story. After all, Oliver’s history with the Justice League runs nearly as far back as Barry’s. He first appeared in Issue #4 of the Justice League of America in the 1960s.

In the cinematic universe, the Justice League will be introduced with Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice but the TV universe is completely separate.

The Flash returns April 28th on The CW at 8 PM with the episode “The Trap”.
