Last we talked about Daredevil Season 2, it was to discuss the possibility of it premiering on the same day as Batman v Superman.
Unfortunately, that rumor’s been debunked, so we won’t be getting an all-out superhero weekend. However, we do know the official premiere date now: March 18!
This exciting news comes with a brand new teaser trailer and poster that are visually striking and intriguing.
The video consists of voiceovers from Season 1, as well as stills done in the style of Catholic paintings – or more specifically, Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel. Catholicism is an important part of Matt Murdock’s (Charlie Cox) character and I think it’s great how they’re incorporating it.
The new poster goes hand-in-hand with the teaser so check it out!
Once again done up in the style of the Sistine Chapel, the cracks are more prevalent here – undoubtedly a sign of things to come, or the state of Hell’s Kitchen.
I think it’s interesting how both the video and poster call back to Season 1 so much. Are they simply acting as a bridge between the two seasons, or is there a chance we’ll see more familiar faces than we think in Season 2?
All right, all right, it’s true, I just want Vincent D’Onofrio’s Wilson Fisk and Ayelet Zurer’s Vanessa back.
Daredevil Season 2 will debut on Netflix on March 18.
What do you think of the teaser and poster? Are you looking forward to Season 2?
